Lena is a PhD student and lecturer at the Environmental Systems Analysis group at Wageningen University, the Netherlands. Her research examines ways to reconcile food production and nitrogen-related environmental targets. She holds a BSc degree in International Land and Water Management and an MSc degree in Climate Studies from Wageningen University. She has a strong interest to investigate policy-relevant questions on the intersection between environmental science and agronomy, and has served as a Chapter Scientist and Contributing Author to the 5th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental on Climate Change.
